We’ll tell you what you don’t need to buy. We’ll tell you when a less-expensive option is the right one for your space. We’ve never built our business on overselling, and after four decades, we’re not about to start.
Every product on our floor is selected with our climate in mind. We won’t sell you flooring that won’t survive a Quebec winter, even if it would be the easier sale.
Founded in 1983 and still family-run today. When you walk in, you’re talking to the people whose name is on the door. We’re accountable to the homes we install in.
Refinishing advice ten years on, a humidity question in February, a floorboard issue after a flood, you can call. We answer. That’s the relationship we’ve had with our customers since day one.
There’s no fast way to choose flooring you’ll love for thirty years, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Here’s the process we’ve followed with hundreds of Quebec families. It’s calm, it’s transparent, and it’s built around your timing, not ours.
Visit our Saint-Jérôme showroom or have us come to you. We’ll talk through your home, subfloor, climate, and budget, no pressure, no upselling, and coffee is on us.
Live with samples in your own light for a few days. Then we visit your space, take precise measurements, and verify subfloor and moisture conditions before any order is placed.
RBQ-licensed, NWFA-certified installers handle acclimation, install and finish protection. And we’re still here years later when you have a question, that’s the relationship.
For projects further afield, including chalets and second homes, we offer a mobile consultation service that brings samples directly to your site.
Every flooring decision looks different in a real space than it does on a sample. Browse a selection of our recent installations to see how species, grades, and finishes translate into finished Quebec interiors.
The best flooring for Quebec winters depends on the subfloor and the room. Solid hardwood at 3/4″ thickness is the gold standard for main-floor installations on wood subfloors. Engineered hardwood is the right choice for concrete subfloors, basements, and radiant heating. SPC vinyl is ideal for entryways and below-grade spaces.
Both. Our in-house installation team is RBQ-licensed and NWFA-certified, and handles every step from subfloor preparation to final finish protection. We don’t subcontract installations to outside crews.
Between 35% and 55% relative humidity, year-round. Quebec winters drop indoor humidity well below 30% without intervention, which causes hardwood to gap. A whole-home humidifier integrated with your forced-air system is the most reliable solution.
Solid hardwood is generally not recommended for radiant heating. Engineered hardwood and certain SPC vinyl products are designed for radiant applications. We can walk through the right product for your system at our Saint-Jérôme showroom.
