Montréal is full of architectural treasures, but few are as iconic as Le 9e, perched atop the Eaton Centre. Built in 1931, it is being reborn today.
We created a walnut soldier-pattern border, with a one-inch band paired with quarter-sawn white oak and an additional two-inch walnut piece. This refined design integrates seamlessly into the floor and adds a touch of elegance.
To complete the setting, custom walnut tables were built with rounded edges for a modern, harmonious look. Round or square, they pair perfectly with the floor.
In an adjacent room, a straight-laid white oak floor was installed with two-inch boards and a Bona Traffic finish, ensuring an elegant visual continuity between the spaces.
Curved baseboards, cut with CNC precision, follow the exact curves of the walls, reflecting our commitment to respecting the integrity of this historic place.
Every detail was carried out in close collaboration with the project’s designers and artisans, to honour the heritage of Le 9e while preparing it for its new life.
