Why luxury vinyl RigidWood works in every room.

Luxury vinyl RigidWood is 100% waterproof thanks to its rigid core. Unlike wood, it shrugs off water and humidity, which makes it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, entryways and basements.

The European oak looks, from Arbour to Eden, give a true wood look in wet rooms.

“For a kitchen or basement, luxury vinyl settles the water question once and for all,” says Sefi Dollinger, Owner of Planchers Bellefeuille, serving Quebec homeowners since 1983.
Installation and care

How luxury vinyl is installed.

Rigid-core RigidWood floats with its click system, no glue or nails, over almost any flat subfloor including a concrete slab. The rigid core forgives small subfloor imperfections. Leave an expansion gap around the perimeter.

Minimal upkeep: sweep and damp-mop. Being 100% waterproof, luxury vinyl shrugs off splashes, water spills and wet washing. Just avoid abrasive cleaners and steam.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions.

Is luxury vinyl really waterproof?
Yes. Its rigid rigid core does not swell when it meets water, which makes it safe for bathrooms, kitchens and basements.
What is the difference between SPC and WPC?
SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) has a denser, harder core that is very impact-resistant. WPC is a bit softer and warmer underfoot. Both are 100% waterproof.
Can vinyl go over radiant heat?
Most rigid-core vinyls accept low-temperature radiant heat. Always respect the manufacturer’s maximum temperature.
Is luxury vinyl good for a basement?
Yes, it is one of its best uses: waterproof and stable over a concrete slab, where wood is not advised.
